The home of Bizen pottery, Japan’s quintessential ceramic ware
Boasting a history going back 1,000 years, Imbe is the hometown of Bizen pottery, one of Japan’s oldest forms of pottery, and features more than 100 potteries and galleries. The old townscape of Imbe is a one-of-a-kind sight filled with buildings made with red brick chimneys and Bizen pottery roof tiles.
