[2026] The 14th Hiruzen Snow Romance Festival

This festival, which originated from exchanges between Akita Prefecture, Yokote City, and Maniwa City , will be held at two venues: GREENable HIRUZEN and Hiruzen Takaharu Center. On the day, you can enjoy activities such as building giant kamakura (3 meters high) directly taught by kamakura artisans from Akita Prefecture , Akita Prefecture, playing in the snow with sledding and mini-kamakura building, and snowshoeing on the snow. At night, candles will be lit in the mini-kamakura, creating a fantastical landscape in conjunction with the illumination of GREENable HIRUZEN"Kaze no Ha Pavilion." Indoor workshops include making original accessories, making ice cream using Jersey milk, and painting the Suiton yokai (spirited monster) of Hiruzen.

Additionally, an after-report on the Osaka -Kansai Expo event "Weaving the Future: The Relationship Between Grasslands, Lakes, and People Produced by GREENable" will be held at the same time.

*Fireworks are scheduled to be launched around the venue on Saturday, January 31st (starting at 6:30 PM).

*Snow may fall suddenly around the venue, so if you are coming by car, we recommend that you put on winter tires.

*Please wear warm clothing on the day.

*Dogs are allowed on the roads. Dogs are only allowed in the snow huts and snow play area. Dogs are not allowed inside the building.
