Inofurai Art Museum (Niimi City Hoso Ceramics Museum)

Japan, 609 Hoso, Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture 719-2552

Exhibiting modern Jomon art works based on Jomon modeling (designs of life and soul). The museum, which is surrounded by rich nature, has over 200 permanent exhibits, including masterpieces by Furai Ino, a leading figure in Jomon art, and Jomon spiral works by up-and-coming artists such as Harano Murakami. Through his works, you will feel the powerful energy of life that resonates with the nature of heaven and earth and the cosmos. We also exhibit works by Shinnawa Homoso pottery, which explores new possibilities and the revival of Hoso ware, which has been handed down locally since ancient times. At the pottery experience creation center, pottery classes (A Jomon field firing course, B electric kiln course) are held from time to time. The Jomon Yakini Festival is held twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.
