Kibi Kawakami Fureai Manga Museum

It is a rare art museum specializing in manga, with a collection of approximately 120,000 domestic and international manga volumes. The in-house manga reading room has approximately 60,000 manga on display, ranging from nostalgic manga from the rental book era of the late 1950s to the latest comics, and you can freely browse them within the museum. This art museum can be enjoyed by adults and children of all ages, including a gallery of original drawings by honorary director and manga artist Ichiro Tominaga, as well as exhibits of works from the city-sponsored manga contest ``Kibi Kawakami Manga Grand Prix.''
