Hanatori Otsuka Art Museum

Japan, 715-0024 3-11-5 Takayacho, Ibara City, Okayama Prefecture

Focusing on the works of Keika Kaneshima, a Japanese painter from Kannabe-cho, Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, we collect modern Japanese and Western paintings by artists such as Hashimoto Kansetsu, Kodama Nozomi, and Kobayashi Wasaku. The garden was designed and supervised by Sogen Ueda, the 15th headmaster of the Soko Ueda School, and expresses the elegance and tranquility of the tea ceremony. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the museum's opening, Soko's favorite sukiya tea room, ``Choan,'' was built in a corner of the garden under the guidance and supervision of the 16th headmaster, Munetsugu Ueda.
