Makiba no Yakata

[Watch, touch, and play in nature] Makiba no Yakata is a facility built with the aim of helping people become more familiar with and understand livestock farming. Within the 5 hectares (3.8 hectares including the lawn area) you will find a lavender garden that is in full bloom from June to July, a field of approximately 2 million cosmos flowers that are in full bloom in late October, approximately 70 types of herbs, an athletic field, and a day camp site, all of which are great places for children to play freely. The restaurant offers a barbecue menu and the famous jumbo cream puffs, as well as dairy products such as soft serve ice cream and yogurt made with freshly squeezed milk from the Okayama Prefecture Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Center Livestock Research Institute. It will be reopened as an experiential facility on April 29, 2023, and will now offer a variety of experiences throughout the year, including ice cream making and sausage making.
