Akiyoshido Cave (Yamaguchi)

The Orient’s largest limestone cavern boasting naturally created art and mystery
Located under the Akiyoshidai Plateau Quasi-National Park on the large karst plateau representative of Japan, the Akiyoshido Cave is a limestone cave that can be traced back to 300 million years ago. The cave stretches out about 10 km long with ceilings that can reach up to 80 m high. The tourist route, covering approximately 1 km of the cavern, remains a comfortable 17°C throughout the year.
