Daigo Cherry Tree
Maniwa City
One-thousand-year-old cherry tree growing majestically in a quiet mountain village
Included in the 100 Great Trees in Japan, this magnificent, 1,000-year-old cherry tree is said to be the largest in Okayama Prefecture. Its tiny, cute flowers come into full bloom between early and mid-April each year.
With no high trees around it, the beauty of this Daigo Cherry Tree stretching from the highland to the blue sky is beyond description.
