On the main street of the former Sanyo expressway, Yakagejuku, the Japanese traditional folk house transformed into a tourist guide facility stands. During the Edo period, under the trade name,”Inabaya”, this post station was used as a location to hire laborers and horses to pull freight and passengers. Right as you enter the building it is an atrium and when you go up to the 2nd floor, there is a large beam you can observe up close. There is an exhibit where you can learn about the history of Yakage town and the building, and there are also sightseeing related leaflets available.
