The only glamping facility in Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter

Yaora, which opened in September 2022, is a glamping facility that only accommodates one group per day. A nearby cafe doubles as reception, where you collect your key and head through the auto-locking door to the Mogami floor. There is no elevator, so we left our stroller in the space on the first floor.

When I went up to the rooftop, a wonderful view awaited me. The green area is the Ohara Museum of Art. Although it is located close to famous tourist spots, Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter is also home to many ordinary houses, so if you go one street Oku you will find a quieter and more relaxed atmosphere.

One of the things Yaora is proud of is that you can enjoy a full-fledged sauna. sauna are said to have the effect of regulating the autonomic nervous system, and are popular with both men and women. The sauna is large enough for 2-4 people, and you can even do loyly. When you do loyly at a temperature of 80-90°C, the temperature can reach nearly 100°C. sauna scents (aromatherapy) are also available, and the wonderful scents are very soothing.

There is an open-air jacuzzi big enough for a family to fit in. The staff told us that when using the sauna, it is recommended to put ice in the cold bath in the summer, and in the winter to bathe in the open air and then use the warm jacuzzi.

This lovely room features a Moroccan-style interior design and the warmth of wood. It can accommodate up to six people and has two queen-size beds and one semi-double bed. The room is air-conditioned, so it's warm and comfortable even in cold weather.

How children spend their time

Shoes are required inside the room, so even babies who are old enough to crawl around can feel safe. This is ideal for families with small children, as they cannot move around freely in a hotel. The large windows mean that even if the adults are having a barbecue on the terrace, they can still see what the children are doing inside, making it a great place for family get-togethers.

Fully equipped facilities

The room is equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave and kettle, but you can also bring your own food and drinks.

A sink, washing machine, and freezer are also provided. You can use the facilities with peace of mind even when the weather is bad. Plates, glasses, chopsticks, forks, etc. are also provided, so you can get takeout in town and relax at the inn. *An electric kettle, microwave, and induction cooking heater are provided. Frying pans, pots, etc. are available for rental.

There is a shower room and jacuzzi next to the sauna, but there is also a bathtub and sink inside the room.

After relaxing in the sauna and enjoying the loyly, walking around Kurashiki's streets felt different from usual and "it was amazing." My husband, who loves sauna , was also very satisfied. This is the perfect place to stay for those who want to enjoy both glamping and sightseeing.
