Limited to two groups per day, this resort villa is surrounded by nature

Located approximately 60 minutes by car from Okayama City(Okayama IC), the Ushimado area faces the sea and is known for its Seto Naikai and its islands, abundant nature, and beautiful beaches. COVO-ushimado, which we're introducing today, is a villa limited to two groups per day, located right in front of the beach, allowing guests to fully experience Ushimado's natural beauty. The private space includes an open living room and kitchen, while the three dome-shaped buildings are designed as bedrooms and baths. A sauna is located in the center of the villa, and can be rented exclusively by the hour. With no contact with staff from check-in to check-out, this is the perfect accommodation for those who prioritize privacy.

Advantage 1: Enjoy a full-fledged sauna

The facility is equipped with a Finnish-style barrel sauna with a temperature of 100-110°C, and you can also enjoy loyly. The greatest feature is the view from the sauna , where you can see the Shodoshima in Kagawa Prefecture right in front of you.

You can enjoy a pleasant outdoor bath with the vast, unobstructed sky and sea as your backdrop. There are two single-person cold baths, and the temperature can be adjusted. Staff recommendations include the daytime sauna, sunset sauna, starry sky sauna, and Hinode sauna after checking in, allowing you to enjoy the ever-changing scenery (swimsuits are required when using the sauna).

Charm 2: Open living room and kitchen

There is a plaza in the Chuo of the private space, where an open-plan living room and kitchen are located. It is covered so that it is not affected by the weather, and is fully equipped with heating. The appeal is that you can relax without worrying about those around you, whether you are having a family barbecue or a bonfire with friends. A projector is also provided, so you can create an outdoor cinema-like atmosphere (we recommend taking precautions against the cold).

Some people say, "I'd love to have such a spacious kitchen." You can enjoy seasonal cooking, such as BBQ in the summer and hotpot indoors in the winter. Even if you have small children, you can rest assured that you can prepare meals as usual.

The kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances from BALMUDA, including a microwave, toaster, and rice cooker. All cooking utensils and tableware are also provided.

At COVO-ushimado, you can bring your own ingredients even if you are staying overnight without meals. In the Ushimado area, you can find local ingredients such as oysters, Chinese cabbage, and cabbage in the winter, and mushrooms in the summer, so you can enjoy making memories by cooking for Self-catering. For meal plans, we focus on local produce and provide seasonal ingredients, mainly from Okayama Prefecture.

Charm 3: Infinity bathroom

One of the three dome-shaped buildings has a bathroom with a distinctive large window. It is large enough for a family of five to comfortably fit in, and you can feel as if you are one with the sea while bathing. It is a great bath with a spectacular view of the sun rising over the sea in the morning, and is also perfect for bathing after a sauna(special glass is used to ensure privacy).

Charm 4: Introducing the secret base bedroom

One of the dome-shaped buildings has a queen-size bedroom that gives off the feeling of being in a cave or Mori. The lighting and switches are carefully designed.

The other is a cylindrical bedroom with two single-sized beds on the lower bunk, allowing you to wake up naturally as the Asahi shines in at dawn.

Climbing the log staircase, you will find yourself in a secret hideout-like space. It is a place where you can spend special moments, such as having breakfast while watching the Asahi or chatting before bed.

Amenities are also provided, with toothbrushes, hairbrushes, razors, etc. in the bathroom, pajamas and bathrobes in the bedroom, and Hawaiian coffee, honey tea, tea, and tea snacks in the kitchen.

A beach only locals know about

If you turn off the road and follow the coastal path, you'll arrive at a beach where you can enjoy swimming and SUP. The road ends just a few meters away, making it a hidden gem known only to those in the know. Conveniently located right in front of COVO-ushimado, this room offers a luxurious space where you can relax after a day of fun in the ocean.
